We have no official idea as to when The Elder Scrolls VI will be released, but it seems that Bethesda may have teased the fantasy RPG in Starfield years ago.

To much anticipation (and delays), Starfield finally arrived in September 2023 (or a little earlier for Premium Edition pre-orders) and it was met with mostly rave reviews. Though some of its hype has dwindled over time as with just about any video game.

In our review of Starfield, we said: “Bethesda has created a universe that, despite its vast scale, maintains interest and an impressive attention to detail throughout. The journey you embark on will dazzle you, and I have no doubt that players will be gripped for months, perhaps even years to come. Here is a playground where you can be whoever you want to be. I simply cannot stop thinking about Starfield and the wondrous secrets it still holds. Bethesda, I have one word: bravo.”

At this time, Bethesda hasn't announced a release date for The Elder Scrolls VI, but recent reports have suggested that it could arrive as soon as 2026. If true, that will no doubt be music to the ears of fans eagerly awaiting a new adventure in Tamriel. After that, fans will have the release of Fallout 5 to look forward to. Happy days!

While we wait for the release of The Elder Scrolls VI, it seems that it was teased in Starfield years ago and nobody noticed. An image shared on Imgur featuring the dashboard of a ship in a Starfield trailer features what looks to be a surface scratch. However, on close inspection, if you slightly tilt the image 90 degrees to the right, this apparent scratch has a striking resemblance to a map of Tamriel, in particular the regions of High Rock and Hammerfell.

Will the regions of High Rock and Hammerfell be the main locations of The Elder Scrolls VI? Only time will tell. The Elder Scrolls VI is expected to be released on PC and Xbox Series X|S.
