The Elder Scrolls VI fans have already decided exactly how they want the map of the next entry in the series to look, and I hope Bethesda is taking notes.
The next Elder Scrolls title has been in development for so long at this point that it’s easy to forget the few little things we do actually know about the game.
The one, borderline confirmed piece of info we do know is that The Elder Scrolls VI will be set in Hammerfell, situated to the northeast of Skyrim.
But what could a potential map of Hammerfell actually look like? Well, Khalil Heron has mocked up a version of said map, based on a bunch of confirmed lore and info we already know about the area.

Over in a thread on the r/TESVI subreddit, fans think Heron’s map is borderline perfect.
“I would love this honestly”, commented user Redditshredditt.
“Having both High rock and Hammerfell would give a big variety of environments to explore and there would likely be sailing with all the different islands.”
“I'd go feral. As an aside: I've been working on my own map of Hammerfell recently, and I find it very interesting that someone else had the idea to stick a salt flat near Hegathe”, replied user Silver_Falcon.

“I do believe that this shows the Alik'r stretching too far to the south, and that Cape Shira should be more tropical though; it was basically a jungle in Arena. Plus, it's just more geographically interesting that way.”
Gotta admit, this is extremely impressive work. I do also love that it’s based on legitimate, confirmed details that we do actually know about the area, so it could end up being very close to what we actually get in the game.
Plus, given its size… it would go some way to explaining why the game is taking so long to develop.
