It seems that the graphic capabilities of The Elder Scrolls VI have been right under our noses and many of us never noticed.

Despite being announced during E3 2018, a time so long ago that the E3 event no longer exists, there’s not much we know about the next entry in Bethesda’s beloved The Elder Scrolls series.

Check out The Elder Scrolls VI teaser trailer below!

For starters, we don't have a release date, let alone any gameplay for The Elder Scrolls VI. At this point, it might be safe to assume that the fantasy RPG could be a next-gen title.

That being said, we can at least take some comfort in knowing that there is a playable build in-house at Bethesda’s studios and quite recently, the developer started hiring for talented folk to help create quests, seeming for the highly anticipated game in question.

Bethesda’s in-house Creation Engine 2 was first used on Starfield, an evolution of the engine that previously powered the likes of Skyrim and Fallout 4. Much like other engines from developers, the Creation Engine 2 will improve over time and Bethesda will be using it for The Elder Scrolls VI.

The Creation Engine 2 is already capable of delivering impressive real-time global illumination, volumetric lighting and animation. By the time The Elder Scrolls VI arrives, fans will be hoping that from a technical standpoint, the upcoming fantasy RPG will be levels above Starfield.

That being said, Reddit user Lopsided-Ad7318 shared a tweet from joe_tashune detailing some of the improvements already being made to the Creation Engine 2 and it’s enough to get fans of The Elder Scrolls hyped.

“I hope the weather will look better in TESVI compared to Starfield,” said Morgaiths on Reddit with DemiserofD adding, “The new megaparticle system should make that better. Volumetric clouds...maybe? It'd be nice, but it doesn't really do much for gameplay.”

“The Creation Engine 2 was mostly fantastic in Starfield,” declared lincolnmarch. “I think they need to dedicate more time to facial animations, but the game looked great and was by far the most polished Bethesda game I’ve played on launch.”

Hopefully, Bethesda will treat us to the release date or at least the release window for The Elder Scrolls VI at some point this year.
