The Elder Scrolls 6 fans hope that a new reveal could take place at The Game Awards next week, and the theory kinda makes some sense.

Announced so long ago that, as huge as the series is, some may have forgotten that it’s even a thing. Sure, it’s not quite putting the likes of Duke Nukem Forever, Half-Life 3 or Beyond Good and Evil 2 to shame, in terms of how long it's kept us waiting, it’s certainly on the right track.

For those who have been keeping track, the highly anticipated next entry in The Elder Scrolls series was announced by Bethesda’s Todd Howard at E3 2018. Speaking of which, that announcement was so long ago that E3, once the biggest video game convention in the world, is now dead and buried.

In hindsight, announcing The Elder Scrolls VI at that time was clearly a big mistake by Bethesda. Sure, it was nice to have that news, and its cinematic trailer of Tamriel and a logo got the internet buzzing, but the fact that we’ve not had a release date or gameplay it’s an announcement that happened way too soon.

Will Elder Scrolls 6 be Revealed Again Soon?

Regardless, this fantasy RPG franchise is so beloved that fans will never give up hope that a reveal for The Elder Scrolls VI is around the next corner, and one fan in particular hopes that it could happen at The Game Awards next week.

“Possible evidence for a The Elder Scrolls VI reveal,” teased Redditor No_Principle5596.

To cut a long story short, No_Principle5596 explains that before The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered was shadow-dropped earlier this year, the Bethesda social media channels were very active.

However, as the remastered shadow-drop came near, the Bethesda socials went from being very active to very quiet, and BAM, the remaster arrived like an RKO out of nowhere. Now, the Reddit user has noticed a similar pattern yet again.

This pattern has led the Reddit user, while admitting that they’re clutching at straws, Bethesda could be gearing up for something similar with a new announcement for The Elder Scrolls VI, perhaps at The Game Awards.

“Dude, I’m very excited too, but don’t read too much into this. I used to obsess over the posting patterns of Bethesda's Twitter accounts, but I’ve come to learn that they do not follow a strict schedule at all. At times, it feels like they post whenever the hell they feel like it,” replied BlackFleetCaptain.

“The Game Awards is the biggest event in gaming these days, so yes, we are getting something,” suggested Due-Dress-8983.

“Possible evidence of The Elder Scrolls VI reveal brewing,” replied Silverbellaa.

In my humble opinion, as much as I’d love to see The Elder Scrolls VI at The Game Awards next week, I’d be surprised if it were there. I feel it’s more likely to appear at Xbox’s own dedicated showcase, which happens every year during Summer Game Fest, but I could be totally wrong.

Of course, as soon as we get an update on The Elder Scrolls VI, we’ll be sure to provide that information right away.
