The Best Way To Beat This 'Elden Ring' Boss Is In The Buff

There are many curiosities in FromSoftware's 'Elden Ring', and this is just one of them

There's this game which came out a couple of weeks ago from a little Japanese studio. I don't know if you've heard of it. It's called Elden Ring.

FromSoftware is back on top with another controller-smashing success. While creator Hidetaka Miyazaki may have said that Elden Ring is far more approachable than other Soulsborne games, that doesn't mean he made them easy. There is no way the team will put an easy mode in its games, when they make players jump through hoops just to hit pause.

Some of the best builds in the game require you to be naked to deliver powerful blows. The Blue Dancer's Charm gives you stronger attacks the less clothing you have on, but that wasn't the strategy we used at for this particular boss.

To see the naked truth to our boss-besting technique, look no further than the footage below.

Walking in to a new area with our oh-so-fancy Darth Maul-themed twin bladed weapon and a full set of kit, we're quickly taken down by a boss we're not expecting. Now, of course, this is a FromSoftware game, so that's kinda par for the course. Nothing left to do but pick yourself up and give it another go.

Only this time we've seen this bad boy, so we know what we're working with - and we come up with a plan. Which is, hilariously, to strip down to what our character customisation tool gave us, and face this boss in the buff. Accessories, weapons, anything we can take off is going, going, gone. Just like the day we were tarnished.

Our first attempt as soon as we strip off? Why that's another Great Enemy Felled. No other strategy required. I guess that's what they get when they mess with the warrior. Be sure to try this one yourself when facing off with Mimic Tear in Nokron.
