The Boys’ upcoming spinoff series, Gen V, is set to land on Prime Video this year, and it sounds like it’s going to be even wilder than the hit superhero show.

Fans across the world are waiting with bated breath for the fourth season of The Boys, and for good reason. It’s been claimed that the upcoming episodes will contain “the craziest sh*t we can legally put on your tubes”, which is a bold claim for a show that already showed a guy get killed after his partner shrank down to crawl inside his penis, sneezed, and promptly made him explode. However, Seth Rogen, who serves as executive producer on both The Boys and its spinoff, Gen V, thinks that the latter is going to be even “more shocking”.

Take a look at the trailer for Gen V below.

“Gen V has some really crazy s**t in it. The fact that they’re in college, they’re a little younger, makes it more shocking maybe,” Rogen told Empire in a new interview.

“In general, if you’re making an R-rated thing, they let you do whatever the f**k you want, unless there’s some real legal thing that they think you might be bumping against,” he said. “With The Boys, maybe it requires one extra five-minutes phone call, where they’re like, ‘Really?’, and you’re like, ‘Really.’ There are other things you’re on hours of phone calls about that are so much less interesting than that.”

Gen V is set concurrently with The Boys’ fourth season, which wrapped filming earlier this year. However, showrunner Eric Kripke recently confirmed that the latter has been indefinitely delayed as the Writers Guild of America (WGA) continues to strike. Despite this, Gen V is still currently on track to release on Prime Video later this year, so don’t miss it.
