The Boys spin-off Gen V has just wrapped up its second season, and the finale contains a heartwarming tribute to the late Chance Perdomo.
Perdomo was part of Gen V’s main cast for Season 1, playing Andre Anderson in each episode of the season.
Perdomo died in a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred in March 2024 just before the second season was due to begin filming. As a result, his character was written out of the series rather than recast, out of respect for the late actor.
The second season finale, which aired earlier this week, wrapped up many of the storylines that had been left hanging over the course of the season. It also left some strings for a potential third season to pick up.

Actor Lizze Broadway, who portrays Emma Meyer in Gen V, shared that she managed to include a tribute to Perdomo in the latest episode of the show.

Speaking to Collider, Broadway shared that she wore a piece of Andre’s clothing in the last scene of the finale that was worn by Perdomo at an earlier part of the show, as a touching tribute to the actor.
“It’s one of my favourite aspects of what I did,” Broadway explained. “It’s actually Andre’s sweatshirt. I wanted to take that like he’s with us for the rest of the season.

“It’s funny because in the first episode they actually show Chance at the beginning and it’s him wearing that sweatshirt. I didn’t know that was going to happen at the time.”
Broadway then goes on to say how her whole performance is “based in Chance and Andre”, and that she felt she needed to “carry him throughout”.
How to watch Gen V
Gen V is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video. Although it originally began as a standalone spin-off separate from The Boys, there have been several connections made between the two series over the course of their runs.

Now having wrapped up its second season, it’s presumed that some elements from the Gen V finale will carry over into The Boys Season 5, which will be the show’s final season and begin airing in 2026.
As for whether there will be Gen V Season 3, series creator Eric Kripke has stated in the past that there are “plans” for Season 3, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Amazon has also not ordered a third season yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see if the franchise continues.
