I've got some good news and bad news for you regarding the much-anticipated home streaming release of The Batman.
The good news is that Matt Reeves' critically acclaimed superhero movie will be making its home streaming debut on HBO Max way earlier than expected, on April 18. The bad news? Those of us in the UK don't get HBO Max, and there's been absolutely no word on when The Batman will be available to stream on this side of the pond.
Take a look at The Batman in action below:
While it might seem early, this actually continues Warner Bros. trend of launching its films on HBO Max exactly 45 days after their theatrical release. Unfortunately, we still have no idea when the UK is getting HBO Max, which rather throws a spanner into the works.

This has, somewhat predictably, caused something of a divide between American and non-American viewers. Americans with HBO Max are naturally incredibly excited to be able to sit and watch The Batman again in the comfort of their own home. Never underestimate how much better a three-hour movie is when you can pause it to take wee breaks at will.
UK viewers, on the other hand, would like to know where and when they're going to be able to watch The Batman from April 18, if anywhere. A lot of HBO Max content typically ends up on NOW TV, but we don't yet have confirmation if the latest DC blockbuster will hit the UK service at the same time as HBO Max.
For now, it seems, those of us in the UK are simply going to have to sit tight and wait for further updates. All the while looking on with envy as HBO Max viewers get to enjoy The Batman from April 18. Those bastards.
