Steam makes 'underrated' game free for you to download and keep forever

Sometimes a game will just slip under our radar amongst big AAA releases and it isn’t until Steam offers free downloads that we can finally get our hands on some underrated bangers.

Steam has already dropped six free games we can get our hands on this week as well as an extra 12 a few days before. The PC storefront is no stranger to deals and freebies which makes this free indie online co-op title one to get stuck into right now.

Knightfall: A Daring Journey is a 2022 indie adventure game from developers Landfall. The synopsis reads:

“Two knights, a strong bond, and a long journey. Take up the race for the rose, ride from town to town and take shelter before nightfall by any means necessary! If your bond is strong and your horse drifts well, you can be the recipient of the fabled rose. Luckily you brought guns!”

In this battle royale game, up to 28 players pair up in teams of two to reach the castle and pluck the rose before anybody else can get there first.

However, the journey is far from easy as teams will need to navigate harsh terrains, set up camp and shelter and try not to freeze to death throughout the nights.

The longer the journey goes on, the harder it will be to survive and teams will have to battle each other if they wish to find the remaining shelters. Additionally, reaching a town will reward you with weapons and bandages that will see you win any battles with ease.

Combining relaxing horse racing with guns and grenades, Knightfall: A Daring Journey is a chaotic battle royale that can be played with friends.
