The Star Wars canon has expanded significantly over the last decade or so, incorporating thousands of characters, locations, space vessels and alien creatures, all of which make the galaxy far, far away feel more alive than ever before.
Amongst those, everyone will have their favourites, from the old classic like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker and Yoda, to the mysterious evil figures from the galaxy's distant past like Darth Nihilus and Darth Revan.
With projects related to the franchise popping up all the time, we're also getting to see more of our favourites than ever, and one ha just made a return, sporting a whole new look to boot.
Asajj Ventress Returns to Star Wars Franchise

One of the most well liked characters of the last few years, particularly considering she's technically a villains, is Asajj Ventress, a Dathomirian Nightsister who serves as one of the more complex and deep characters in the entirety of the lore.

As first reported by TheDirect, Ventress has reappeared in promotions for the next phase of Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, the mobile game from 2015, with a PC version that's currently in early access in most markets.
The cool thing about the accompanying illustration for the character is how realistic it looks, giving us an exciting look at what the character would be like if she ever appeared in a live action adaptation.
Holding the instantly recognisable yellow lightsaber, the limited looks we have had at Ventress so far has shown a range of appearances for the character, though there are some continuing themes.
Ventress most notably appears regularly in The Clone Wars series, appearing without hair and most often wielding two red lightsabers. This aesthetic was kept for the Sideshow Collectibles figure, with that physical release using the show as the basis for its design.

Ventress gets her iconic yellow lightsaber by buying it from the terrifying underworld of Coruscant, after both of her red lightsabers are stolen by Barriss Offee. It's that period in her life that has inspired the design in the mobile game, and it makes the character look a whole lot more unique because of it.
If you haven't played Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes just yet, you can download it for free via the EA website, with the PC version having additional support for keyboard controls and custom button mapping. It's mostly about collecting your favourite characters from the Star Wars canon, so if you're into games like that on mobile, then you should be more than happy with what's on offer here.
