'Stalker'-Themed Supermarket Appears In Kyiv Replicating Groceries From Game

Maybe don't touch anything?

There is now a Stalker-themed supermarket in Kyiv that sells groceries that are lifted from the game as well as your usual fruit, vegetables and meat.

This isn't the first wacky installation that Silpo - the Ukrainian supermarket chain that GSC Game World has partnered with - has brought into being. As per PC Gamer's scoop, there was a Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas themed one as well as a tropical rainforest themed one, a The Little Prince themed one, and even anime themed grocery stores.

Take a look at the trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl below!

Owing to the ongoing Russo-Ukraine conflict, the opening of the store was delayed and not all of it is complete yet. There will be Zone anomalies and irradiated creatures to look forward to in a "visual upgrade" which will roll out in the future, said Zakhar Bocharov, public relations manager for GSC Game World. In spite of the stalling of development, the shop looks very good. "Rusted" metal spears through the lighting precariously, there are warning signs for monsters, fuel canisters lean against trees spaced between the aisles, and the paint on the brick is peeling away.

In my opinion, the best part is the Stalker-themed brownies with a gas mask formed of icing sugar scattered on top. It would solidify the whole surreal experience, I would imagine.

In June, GSC Game World was able to share a message of optimism and hope about their experiences since the invasion, saying that some of their developers have joined soldiers in order to defend their home. You can see the whole video here.
