‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Set To Return To Cinemas With New ‘Fun Stuff’ Cut

Spider-Man: No Way Home will return to cinemas to celebrate the webslinger's 60th anniversary.

Sony appears to have a new found love for recycling its recent releases, shipping them off for a second theatrical run. Just last week, it was announced that Morbius would be returning to cinemas after the film’s memes appeared to signal a spike in popularity. That’s right. THAT Morbius that was a certified flop.

Well, the lesson to be learnt here is don’t trust memes because no one actually returned to the cinema to see Morbius again. Two flops in a row. Ouch. Now, another Sony title is set to follow in its footsteps as Spider-Man: No Way Home will be making its theatrical return.

Marvel's Spider-Man from Insomniac Games is set to swing its way over to PC later this year. Check out the incredible trailer below.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is fairly different to Morbius to say the least. The film was a huge success becoming the sixth highest-grossing film of all time, and I definitely recommend it if you haven’t yet caught up with Peter Parker’s latest adventure, but that’s the problem. Most of us who want to see the film have.

So how is Marvel and Sony trying to lure us in? Well, they’re releasing Spider-Man: No Way Home - The More Fun Stuff Version. No, that’s not a joke. That’s actually what it’s called. The More Fun Stuff Version will celebrate Spider-Man’s sixtieth anniversary. We don’t yet know what this extended version will include but based on the fact that the teaser featured Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire, I’d guess it’s more of all three Spideys in action.

It’s been announced that The More Fun Stuff Version will hit cinemas across the US and Canada on 2 September. For now, that’s the only release date we have but don’t worry folks. Sony has confirmed that there are “more countries to be announced soon.” You’d think that the vast majority of fun stuff would have made the final cut, so I’m intrigued to know what was left out the first time around. Intrigued enough to head to the cinema? Probably not.
