Spider-Man: No Way Home has won its fair share of acclaim from fans and critics alike since releasing last December.
The multiversal Spidey adventure continues to bring in eye-watering buckets of cash at the box office, with absolutely no signs of slowing down. And now, it seems Spider-Man: No Way Home is poised to win an Academy Award.
Marvel and Sony submitted the latest Spider-Man flick for multiple Oscars last month, including Best Picture. As it stands, No Way Home has been nominated for one award: Best Visual Effects. That's not quite the clean sweep Marvel and Sony will have been hoping for, I'm sure, but a nomination in any category is not to be sniffed at - especially given the company Spidey is in.

Other nominations for Best Visual Effects include fellow MCU flick Shang Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings, Free Guy, No Time To Die, and Dune. As much as I love me some Spidey, I'm pretty sure Dune will be walking away with this particular award. I mean, have you seen that film?
."We're all incredibly proud of the film. It would obviously be a huge honor if it was nominated for an Oscar, but that's not how we like to validate ourselves," Holland told FOX News after Oscar speculation began a few months back. "We like to validate ourselves with the love we receive from the general public, and so far that has been through the roof. So for me, with this film and this character, I've already achieved everything I would like to."
While Spider-Man doesn't pop up in any other categories at this year's Oscars, he is kind of represented in the coveted Best Lead Actor bracket. Andrew Garfield, who stole hearts when he returned as the Peter Parker from The Amazing Spider-Man films, is in the running for his incredible performance as Jonathon Larson in Tick, Tick... Boom!
Consider this your reminder to go and watch Tick, Tick... Boom! because it is amazing and Garfield is outstanding in it. That's not something I often get to say on a gaming page, so do indulge me.
