Someone Made Frodo And Sam’s Journey To Mordor In ‘Elden Ring’ And It’s Weirdly Accurate

The recreation tracks Frodo and Sam's journey right through from The Shire to Mount Doom in Mordor.

Here we are again - another day, and another instalment of weird Elden Ring news. Ever since FromSoftware’s latest title was released a couple of months ago, fans have been using the game to create all kinds of unexpected and odd encounters.

Just yesterday, we revealed that you can now summon Mike Tyson in Elden Ring. Tyson joins Thomas the Tank Engine, Shrek and Fiona, and Homer Simpson in finding a new home in the Lands Between. Joining that weird and wonderful roster today is Lord of the Rings’ Frodo and Sam - but this is more than a simple mod or summon.

Take a look at some of the odd characters that have found their way into Elden Ring.

TikTok user p1cklel0verr has painstakingly recreated Frodo and Sam’s journey from The Shire to Mount Doom within Elden Ring and I won’t lie, it’s incredibly realistic. If you’d told me that this was gameplay from a Lord of the Rings game, I’d totally believe you. Take a look for yourself below.

The various clips show Frodo and Sam travelling through Rivendell and the Dark Marshes before reaching the Black Gate and eventually, Mount Doom in Mordor. There’s also a fight with Shelob thrown in there for good measure.

The creator hasn’t offered any insight on the project but unsurprisingly, people were quick to share their amazement online.

On the lotr subreddit, toasty_toes wrote, “This brings me great joy,” whilst Flashback_Disco said, “I was unprepared for wholesome Elden Ring.” ToyrewaDokoDeska joined in saying, “This made me indescribably happy, I had a huge smile for the entire video & the Shelob thing I cracked up. Well f***king done.”

Since Elden Ring’s release, many have noted the similarities the game shares with the Lord of the Rings franchise so it’s surprising that we haven’t seen much fan-created Lord of the Rings content to date. This more than makes up for it though.
