The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim may be over a decade old, but its popularity certainly isn’t waning. Bethesda’s classic RPG continues to surprise and delight. In the last few months alone, fans spotted a cool ‘new’ detail in the game’s environments in addition to discovering a glitch that went undetected for 11 years. Now, one fan has found out that the game can actually be completed using only a poisoned fork.

Take a look at some of our favourite Skyrim wins and fails below.

YouTuber Insane Frame took it upon themselves to see if they could complete Skyrim using only poisons and it turns out, you can. If you’re looking for a fresh way to tackle the game, you need look no further. Insane Frame’s walkthrough details exactly how he managed the achievement but essentially, it includes lots of foraging and levelling up your alchemy skills. In terms of combat, the player utilised any available traps alongside their poisoned fork.

The method even worked on Alduin. Insane Frame repeatedly poisoned the dragon, who surprisingly went down pretty quickly. The golden rule though if you want to take this challenge on: you need to use a weapon that can be coated in poison in order to succeed. Such as a fork. Each to their own, right?

Talking about the playthrough, Insane Frame said that gathering the ingredients to level up his alchemy skills was “extremely time consuming,” adding that he “never wants to see River Betty again.” I don’t blame him. It’s not a playthrough I’ll be committing to.
