The sequel to one of 2023’s most underrated RPGs is going to be gooner bliss, confirms its developer. Sigh.
Alongside the likes of Baldur’s Gate, The Elder Scrolls and Final Fantasy, FromSoftware’s Dark Souls series is one of the most inspirational franchises of the RPG genre. After all, combining both Dark Souls and Bloodborne, it’s where the ‘soulsborne’ sub-genre comes from.
It’s why FromSoftware has inspired the likes of Lies of P, Nioh, Remnant and Blasphemous, to name a few. Not to mention the topic of today’s story, 2023’s Lords of the Fallen, a sequel to a 2014 game of the same name, developed by Hexworks and published by CI Games.
“Lords of the Fallen introduces an all-new, epic RPG adventure in a vast, interconnected world. Aeons after his defeat by the hands of man, the demon God Adyr’s resurrection draws nigh,” reads the synopsis of the 2023 game.

Lords Of The Fallen II Will Have Attractive And Revealing Characters
Lords of the Fallen II was announced at The Game Awards 2025 with an epic trailer pack full of combat, bosses and gorgeous cinematics. It was certainly more than enough to get fans of the series buzzing with excitement.
Earlier this week, the CEO of CI Games, Marek Tyminski, took to Twitter to address what fans can expect with Lords of the Fallen II.
To summarise his tweet, he said that when development of Lords of the Fallen began in early 2020, due to “political correctness and filtering”, not every decision in the game had reached him on time.
Today, the CEO is a lot more involved with development, and things are “very different now” with a “fully integrated studio”. The tweet concluded, Lords of the Fallen II is “built on real player feedback, and it’s crystal clear in the last two trailers.”
“A game is meant to be fun... not politically correct,” replied Wyoplayer, to which Tyminski responded, “correct”.
“I'm gonna buy the game, definitely. Will there be attractive female characters, and will there be revealing outfits and armour for them?” asked Dereth7. Tyminski simply replied with a “Yes”.
Whether a game has attractive male and female characters or not, in my humble opinion, I think it’s refreshing that a major development studio seemingly has a clear vision and it will not be swayed.
Sure, not everyone will agree with this notion, and, likely, this game will not be for them. That being said, I believe if a developer has a mindset of creating a game for everyone, it risks being a game for no one.
Lords of the Fallen II will be released on PC (via the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S sometime in 2026.
