Rockstar Games has fixed, or at least attempted to fix, the most recent GTA Online content update, dubbed as the ‘worst ever’ by the community.
This week, Rockstar Games treated its players to its biggest expansion-sized content update in GTA Online since ‘The Cayo Perico Heist’ in 2020 with ‘The Kortz Center Heist’.
In ‘The Kortz Center Heist’ update, players must work together and strategise the perfect plan to execute an all-or-nothing raid on one of the most prestigious art exhibitions in Los Santos. However, as most GTA Online players will know, the most fun to be had is when a heist doesn't go to plan, and chaos ensues.
Of course, Rockstar Games intends for every content update to be a blast for players, and ‘The Kortz Center Heist’ would be no exception. However, unlike when a GTA Online plan doesn't come together, not everyone is having fun with one fan blasting it as the “worst update ever’.

In a nutshell, the in-game cash rewards are a lot less than what was offered in ‘The Cayo Perico Heist’, with players criticising Rockstar Games for making it too grindy, perhaps an attempt to convince players to purchase Shark Cards, GTA Online’s form of microtransactions that cost real-world money.
Well, it seems that Rockstar Games has reacted to the fan backlash, because, as reported by RockstarINTEL (via PLTytus), the in-game cash rewards for ‘The Kortz Centre Heist’ have increased. Oddly, not all bonuses have increased in the unannounced update by Rockstar Games. However, you can earn larger amounts over the course of a week.
For example, when completing ‘The Kortz Centre Heist’ Act I on the easy difficulty, you would earn 975,000 GTA$. But that amount has been reduced to 877,500 GTA$. That 10% decrease in payouts from Act I to Act III is across the board.
Yet, the ‘Weekly Completion Bonus’ has increased by 50%. Your weekly bonus for completing Act I on easy was 714,870 GTA$, but it’s now 1,072,305 GTA$. For the hard difficulty, it’s increased from 893,588 GTA$ to 1,340,381 GTA$.
While it might be disappointing not to earn bigger rewards sooner, increasing the rewards by 50% for the week seems like a reasonable compromise. It not only rewards players with more GTA$ but, from Rockstar Games’ perspective, it should cause players to return to ensure they don’t miss out on the bigger payouts.
It will be interesting to see what the rewards will be like in the next interaction of GTA Online to avoid another potential fan backlash. That being said, at this time, the next GTA Online doesn't have a release date, nor has it been revealed. All we know is that it’s most likely set to arrive after the launch of GTA VI.
Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
