The third trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI is yet to arrive but the so-called trailer “2.5” has landed and has been dubbed as “awesome” by the community and, to be honest, it’s probably the best trailer yet. Rockstar Games, take note.
Fans are still waiting for Rockstar Games to offer a better look at gameplay as well as what the next iteration of GTA Online might look like, and following the “worst update ever”, many will be hoping that The Kortz Center Heist won’t set a precedent of what’s to come.
While we wait for trailer three, a dedicated and passionate fan has taken matters into their own hands by releasing GTA VI trailer 2.5.

“I combined all the GTA VI website clips and cover reveal music into a new teaser,” revealed JeremyJJ77 on Reddit.
“This is awesome,” declared Federal_Age_2602, with Axcidic adding, “Very nicely done.”

“Trailer 2.5,” claimed No_Film_3849.
“Finally, a good edit in this sub. Very well done,” said Guiesta.
“What no trailer three does to a mf,” joked Radyschen.
When Rockstar Games released the first trailer for GTA VI in December 2023, it sent the video game community into a frenzy, with the trailer generating more than 287 million views. Then trailer two arrived in May 2025, and while it never toppled the original trailer, it still managed 175 million views and counting.
However, between GTA VI trailer one and trailer two, there is a gap of 17 months. As of now, it’s been 14 months since Rockstar Games treated us to the last trailer, and with four months until the game is released, fans are growing increasingly more impatient, twiddling their thumbs for trailer three.
To compare notes with Rockstar Games’ last big release, 2018’s Red Dead Redemption 2 received a total of four trailers.
Between the release of the third Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer and the launch, there was a gap of five months. So surely, with GTA VI being four months away, trailer three should be any day now, right? Only time will tell.
GTA VI will be released on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The PC port hasn't been officially announced yet, but it will hopefully happen one day.
"Vice City, USA. Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them," reads the synopsis of GTA VI. "But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive."
As always, we’ll let you know as soon as trailer three for Grand Theft Auto VI drops.
