Fans of Capcom’s survival horror series, Resident Evil, will be able to play one of its best entries in recent years on the go next month.

Following the success of 2005’s Resident Evil 4, a game considered to be one of the greatest of all time, it’s fair to say that with many fans, this was the point at which the series lost much of its identity. Don’t get me wrong, as much as I love Resident Evil 4, a game that received a masterful 2023 remake, it’s hard to argue that this was a turning point where the series wandered away from its survival horror roots into something more akin to the action genre.

Sure, in some respects, we had some of that horror return with Resident Evil: Revelations in 2012, but for over a decade, Capcom’s series never quite hit the same. That was until the arrival of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard in 2017 which brought back horror, tension and inventory management that fans of the series thought was once lost.

At the heart of the tale of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard was Ethan Winters who was on a one-man investigation to find his thought-to-be deceased wife, Mia. However, upon finding his wife after all those years, little did Ethan know that he’d wandered into the heart of the sinister Baker family compound.

I won’t give anything else away, because Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a game that you should play if you’re a fan of survival horror and if you’ve never played this grotesque game of joy, soon could be your perfect opportunity. Next month, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is coming to compatible Apple devices.

Available from 2 July 2024, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will be playable in all of its gory glory on iPhone 15 Pro’s as well as iPad and Mac devices with an M1 chip or later. Pre-orders for this mobile port of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard are live right now.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard on Apple devices does come with a download size of around 33GB, so you might want to clear out some storage space now in preparation, especially if you intend to play the mobile version on the go.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
