We’ve been treated to even more Resident Evil – Code: Veronica remake news this morning, and it sounds like Capcom is going all in on the next RE game after Resident Evil 9.
Rumours regarding a Resident Evil – Code: Veronica remake have been rife for years now, and with good reason.
When it first released, Code: Veronica was considered an absolute banger, but time has been especially kind to the game over the years. Many consider Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 follow-up to be their favourite in the series, and the release of RE2 Remake only exacerbated people’s cries for a remake in the same vein.
Well, it seems that Capcom is planning to make everyone’s wishes a reality… but you’re going to have to wait until Resident Evil 9 drops first.

As reported by famed Resident Evil leaker Dusk Golem earlier this month, Capcom is apparently half way through remaking both Resident Evil – Code: Veronica and Resident Evil Zero, with the former entry set to drop first in 2027.
However, Dusk Golem revealed something even more exciting last night; the team behind both Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4’s remakes are the ones tackling the Resident Evil – Code: Veronica remake.
“For what it's worth, from what I've heard a few times now actually, Code Veronica Remake not only is being handled by a lot of the same people as RE:2 & RE:4, but it's being treated as a big budget mainline Resident Evil game in every way”, Dusk Golem stated in a post on Twitter.
Obviously I shouldn’t have to tell you why this is a big deal, as both RE2 and RE4’s remakes have both been hailed as two of the best horror games in recent memory.

If Resident Evil 9 sticks the landing and Silent Hill F is as much of a banger as I’m assuming it will be, then horror game fans are going to be eating good in the next few years.
