Released in 2010 and still loved to this day, Red Dead Redemption is just one of those games we wish we could revisit at any time.

However, with the title slightly outdated and its most recent remaster only offering a 60FPS port with just slightly improved graphics, it is no wonder fans are hoping for more.

Check out the trailer for Red Dead Redemption below!

As the predecessor to Red Dead Redemption 2, the first entry in the Rockstar Games series told the story of outlaw John Marston during the decline of the American frontier in 1911.

Making John Marston a household name, Red Dead Redemption is still loved to this day so that is why this fan-made remaster is not one to miss out on.

Created by the team at shadPS4, this remaster has come a long way in just a matter of works.

On 14 July, they reported that their emulator could only boot up Red Dead Redemption.

However, just a few weeks on and it can now run the game at 25fps on a high-end PC set up.

Although 25fps is not the best, it still shows how quickly the team is improving the remaster so we can only imagine what they will achieve over the next few months.

Although there are still graphical bugs and glitches, Red Dead Redemption still runs pretty smoothly on this emulator.

Additionally, with it being an old-gen remaster, we can’t expect miracles.

However, this is the perfect way for fans to revisit the 2010 title and get a sneak peek at what the game would look like in 2024.

In the meantime, Red Dead Online is offering players the chance to get their hands on a whole lot of freebies throughout August and September.

So if you are heading to the wild west this month, be sure to check out the new event and collectibles up for grabs.
