Steam hit 8/10 rated survival game with 100,000 positive reviews gets huge 70% discount

Born out of the same genre as Rust and Valheim, this Steam sensation has over 100,000 positive reviews and is on sale for as much as a vanilla matcha from Starbucks.

Survival games are quickly returning to fashion. Having once been carried by Minecraft, those of a certain age are now realising that it's the genre of game that was the true beauty of the block-by-block survival game, not Steve's archery skills.

One for the whole gang to enjoy, Sons of the Forest is being dubbed as the best survival game on Steam, and for good reason.

Mixing the aesthetic palette of something you'd see in fantasy RPGs like The Witcher with Rust's raw survivalist tactics and The Walking Dead's hungry enemies, Sons of the Forest is backed by over 100,000 players on Steam.

And now it's 70 percent off for a very limited time.

Serving as the sequel (but not a follow-on, so its open to newcomers) to The Forest, this 2024 title is perfect for people who enjoy progression, whimsical fun, and high-stakes gameplay.

Now over two years old, Sons of the Forest boasts an 88 percent thumbs up rating across 117,000 English-speaking reviews on Steam, proving to be a massive hit.

Usually £25, a Steam sale has Sons of the Forest down to just £7.50, which makes it a no-brainer if the squad is looking for a cheap thrill while you wait for bigger AAA releases this fall.

"I was sceptic. All of a sudden, I have more than 100 hours in the game, loving the songs coming from the radio. I have a huge village built around me and my friends, and the story is also insane. I found everything I love in games. Can't wait to see what the lore brings to us soon. LOVE IT!
