I’m almost certain that a Red Dead Redemption remake will happen at some point, the question is when. Rockstar Games would be stupid not to. You only need to glance at the franchise’s enduring popularity to see why the project would be a good idea. In recent days, Red Dead Redemption 2 hit an all-time player count high on PC - four years after the game was released.

It’s a testament to Red Dead Redemption 2’s (dare I say) timelessness. You could tell me that it was released last week and playing it, I wouldn’t bat an eyelid. The original Red Dead Redemption is slightly harder to get your hands on though yet an official remake isn’t in the works. In the meantime, one fan has imagined what a remake might look like.

Take a look at some of our favourite Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below.

YouTuber TeaserPlay created the incredible Red Dead Redemption Remake trailer in Unreal Engine 5 and as we’ve come to expect from this creator, the results are stunning. If you want to see more, TeaserPlay has also created an open-world Venom game concept trailer and a remake of The Witcher.

Discussing the Red Dead Redemption Remake trailer, TeaserPlay said, “We realise this is a fan’s dream in Unreal Engine 5. We recreated Red Dead Redemption, a nostalgic game, in Unreal Engine 5 with high-end graphics [using] features such as Lumen, Nanite, Screen Space Ray Tracing and Metahuman. We hope that Rockstar will officially remake Red Dead Redemption soon and that this video will be able to show the level of expectation of fans.”

Needless to say, fans were floored by the project. One user wrote, “Nostalgia right here bro. You really know how to make my day,” while another added, “And now I’m sad. We want this remake desperately.” Another summed up what we’re all thinking, writing, “Your stuff just keeps getting better and better.” Keep going TeaserPlay, bringing to life the games of our dreams.
