This Red Dead Redemption 2 “secret ending” proves that we’ll never truly be done with this Rockstar Games western classic.

Originally released in 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, before coming to PC, Red Dead Redemption 2 is widely considered to be one of the greatest video games of all time, as suggested by its very impressive Metacritic score of 97.

After all these years, players cannot get enough of the prequel to 2010’s Red Dead Redemption, and are often making fun discoveries and new ways to experience the game.

What’s more, there’s a good chance that the discoveries will keep on rolling with a surge of new players, if rumours of Rockstar Games planning to release a Red Dead Redemption 2 remaster are true.

With that in mind, a player has discovered a “secret ending”, and I mean that very loosely, but I suppose it is an ending, technically, at least for Arthur Morgan.

However, it’s also no more than a “secret ending” in The Last of Us Part II by making Abby fall off a cliff at the beginning of the game.

The ending in question concerns an altercation between Arthur Morgan and the charismatic leader, Dutch van der Linde, the infamous frontman of the gang of outlaws in Red Dead Redemption 2.

“I didn’t know Red Dead Redemption 2 had a secret ending,” claimed Reddit user hubhazard.

“I can already see the article about this,” replied the clairvoyant HordeSquire with hubhazard adding, “‘Player finds secret ending in RDR2’,”.

“And that, kids, is why we don’t stand on the edge of a cliff and talk crap,” exclaimed burn-babies-burn.

“Is this a mod, or can you actually harass him into giving you a light shove and have him kill you by standing by a cliff?” asked Gamer_Teeth.

“You can antagonise most of the gang members to the point that they'll shove you or punch you,” answered QuantumCurt.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. We’ll, of course, keep you updated if Rockstar Games drops information on the rumoured remaster.
