The fresh delay of GTA VI has hit fans hard after waiting for so many years to get their hands on a new adventure from Rockstar Games.

After taking a decade to work on the upcoming blockbuster, GTA VI, Rockstar Games announced a six-month delay, but this isn’t the bad thing it initially seems to be.

This is the second delay to hit the game, but the developer has stated that it’s to keep polishing the game, ensuring that there are no bugs or glitches present on launch.

This isn’t the first time Rockstar Games has delayed a big hitter - they did the exact same thing with what is upheld as their masterpiece.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was also hit with delays, two internal delays in development, and one public, when the game shifted by a similar six months.

Back then, the studio needed more time to make sure everything was perfect, and what came out the other side was, according to many, exactly that.

After all was said and done, Red Dead Redemption 2 scored a massive 97% on Metacritic, and has frequently been hailed as one of the best video games of all time.

GTA VI is in very good hands from a development standpoint, and the team will make sure that fans have the best experience possible.

After all, this new instalment in the long-running series is the most anticipated game ever, and nobody wants the game to fail on delivery.

You can bet that the end product will be a sure-fire hit, and another jewel in the crown of Rockstar Games, bringing action, unrivalled world building, and engaging gameplay.

It has been a lesson learned by the creators, that time spent will only improve the outcome, and Red Dead Redemption 2 proved that.

There was surely fear that it was the right thing to do, but delays didn’t fail then, and they won’t now. What’s another six months when the game will be around for over a decade after, receiving updates like its predecessor, GTA V.

It’s always sad to see games delayed, especially when the fanbase has been rabid for information for so long, but it’s worth looking at the past actions to see that it should all be fine.

The air is filled with sighs for now, but on the eventual launch, it will be filled with applause, surely.
