If there's one thing Red Dead Redemption 2 is known for, it's the game's attention to detail. Every corner of the world is filled with little secrets and oddities that add to the overall experience massively.
Amongst those are genuinely intriguing Easter eggs that inspire further investigation or deepen specific parts of the game's main story.
One of the very best was pointed out in the comments section over on Reddit, when one player asked people for their favourite Easter eggs in the game.
"The Strange Man's shack at Bayall Edge. The cryptic writings, the evolving painting, and the Man himself in the mirror... The depth and richness of this Easter Egg that encompasses both games is just mindblowing!"

The shack he's referring to is a wooden cabin Northwest of Caliga Hall, on the edge of a small lake. It's filled with odd decoration including paintings on the floor and stuffed animals. There are also references to the main narrative that change depending on the choices the player makes and their current honour level.
Throughout the game, players can return four times, including after the epilogue, with the decor becoming more complete the later it is in the story. The final visit will see one of the paintings reveal an image of The Strange Man, and if you turn to look at the mirror in that moment, he'll terrifyingly be standing behind you for a split second.
Even more intriguingly, return visits to the shack after its initial discovery will show it as entirely deserted and stripped bare of all the features players see the first time around.
It's a fun cameo appearance for one of the first game's most mysterious characters and it adds credence to the idea that he must be a supernatural entity of some kind, or maybe even Red Dead's equivalent of the Devil or some other nefarious paranormal figure.
