PlayStation Plus subscribers are sleeping on some bonus freebies and maybe overlooking one of this month's best games.
PlayStation Plus is packed full of fantastic games, regardless of the tier. Granted, the higher the tier that you pay for, the more games and bonus content that you’ll have available.
For example, the top PlayStation Plus Premium tier offers everything included in PS Plus Essential and Extra, but with a ton more games to play across multiple generations as far back as the PS1. On top of that, you get cloud streaming, curated movies, trials, and much more.
That being said, for many of us, the bottom PlayStation Plus Essential tier will do, offering three to four additional games each month, discounts on the PS Store, free DLC and so forth. Oh, and of course, access to the all-important online multiplayer.
PS Plus Essential February 2026 Games Are Available Now!
Last month, Sony announced what’s coming to PlayStation Plus Essential for February 2026, and this past Tuesday, those games became available to download and play.

One of those games included is the topic of today’s discussion, which is Bandai Namco’s Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.
“Become an ace pilot and soar through photorealistic skies with full 360 degree movement; down enemy aircraft and experience the thrill of engaging in realistic sorties! Aerial combat has never looked or felt better!” reads the synopsis of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.
Being an action simulation flying game, many might overlook this highly regarded title, but if you’re looking for an alternative to Microsoft Flight Simulator, then Ace Combat 7 could be worth checking out, especially with its respectable score of 80 on the aggregate website, Metacritic.

What PS Plus Freebies Can I Claim Today?
As brought to our attention by Reddit user abirsingh84, the Ace Combat 7 ‘Emblem Set’ is a free add-on to the game on the PlayStation Store.
It includes three ‘Arrowhead’ emblems representing the in-game ISAF (Independent State Allied Forces) to be used on your PlayStation profile.
Sure, it’s not the most exciting freebie, but if you’ve been enjoying Ace Combat 7 but didn't know about this, it’s a small win nonetheless.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is out on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
