PlayStation Plus subscribers are outraged by the state of the service over the past few weeks, and many believe a refund is in order.
In case you missed it PlayStation Plus Premium has had a severe problem with its classic catalogue of games.
While those that can be installed and played like the PS1 library have avoided such issues the cloud-streamed games like those from the PS2 and PS3 catalogue have been unplayable for many.
Now this hasn’t directly affected me but I’ve always had a bone to pick with PlayStation for making so many of its beloved classics only available through cloud-streaming, especially when it’s been proven the PS5 hardware can handle games from the PS2 and PS3 era.

It’s also terrible that subscribers are paying more for PlayStation Plus Premium when one of its core perks is inaccessible.

However do I think subscribers are owed a refund? No, I don’t think so. It’s very frustrating for sure but going the full-refund route feels like an overcomplication.
What PlayStation should do at the very least is acknowledge the service’s faults and offer users a free month of PlayStation Plus Premium as a way of apology. The likelihood of that happening though feels slim.
Even if PlayStation does attempt to garner more goodwill with its fans the last time it offered an apologetic freebie it wasn’t even available for everyone affected. This was back when there was a massive outage for PlayStation Plus services.
Consider This PlayStation Plus Hike If You’ve Been Affected By These Issues
For those of you that don’t want to wait for PlayStation to fix the problem, and then wait even longer to see if any compensation is provided, consider this hack other users have been taking advantage of.
It’s very simple, if you go through the process of cancelling your membership for PlayStation Plus there’s a chance it’ll offer you the subscription with a 25% discount. Some users have even reported this trick working more than once too.
