PlayStation Plus is currently offering a sweet deal that’ll save you 25% on a renewal, and as you’d expect everyone wants to take advantage.
This week it was discovered that some users are getting special offers when they try to cancel their PlayStation Plus subscription.
In order to keep users subscribed the service would extend an olive branch and offer a 25% discount to stick with it, pretty generous.
Now unfortunately not everyone is able to grab this sweet deal. The service either prioritises its most valued customers or selects them at random when it feels like it.

However it’s very easy to check if you’re eligible for this deal, and if you are there’s a new hack that’ll let you seriously rack up the savings.
All you need to do to get started is work your way through the cancellation process and see if it offers you a discount to renew.
If it does, some fans have reported that there’s actually no limit to how many times you can take advantage of this saving.

One user reported on Reddit that they’d cancelled their subscription, claimed the 25%, then went through the same process for yet another 25% discount.
PlayStation Plus subscriptions obviously stack as well so you can get a few years lined up so you don’t have to renew for a while.
Granted, this hack isn’t ideal for those who can’t afford to drop an absurd amount of money on multiple PlayStation Plus subscriptions right now, but for those that can, or just have cash to burn, the potential for savings here is ridiculous.
Even if you’re just doing it as a one-off it’s still really good, but again PlayStation isn’t offering everyone this deal.
With PlayStation Plus as expensive as it is right now, and I’d imagine we have a few more price-hikes on the way in the coming years, we need to take advantage of these savings when we can.
If you’re looking for another way to save money and want my personal recommendation I’d suggest dropping PlayStation Plus Premium if you haven’t already.
I’ve had a bone to pick with this tier of the service ever since it first dropped, as having to cloud-stream PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 games feels like a bad joke, and most of the Classics Catalogue you don’t have to stream are available for outright purchase anyway.
At the time of writing, I don’t think PlayStation Plus Premium is good value for money, so if you’re not eligible for the above hack, dropping to a less expensive tier could be a better way of saving some pennies. That we'll no doubt spend on more games.
