PlayStation Plus subscribers feel like they’re getting ripped off with some of the latest freebies, even after yesterday’s solid new game line-up.
Yesterday PlayStation revealed what PlayStation Plus Extra titles users can look forward to in the coming weeks.
While we’ve definitely seen better, it was decent enough with heavy-hitters like Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered and The Crew Motorfest being the two standout titles.
Plenty of fun indie games were also included like Squirrel with a Gun, which we’d implore all subscribers to try at some point.

In addition to eight new games to play, PlayStation Plus subscribers have also been blessed with a bonus freebie. Unfortunately, they’re not as PlayStation probably hoped…
A new PlayStation Plus pack for everyone’s favourite battle-royale game Fortnite is available now and usually they come with some pretty good stuff if you’re a regular player of the game.
This time around though, the content is pretty disappointing as all subscribers are getting for their hard-earned cash some wraps for their weapons, as seen in a post by Shiina on X.
Wraps are just Fortnite’s fancy way of saying weapon skins for those who aren’t aware.
It disappointed many as usually subscribers would get a skin or two, sometimes a new pickaxe or glider as well.
Not this time, however, and to no one’s surprise, many feel like more should have been offered. It’s similar to when Xbox inflated the cost of Xbox Game Pass to include a Fortnite Crew membership with your subscription. It might be a worthy upgrade for those who play Fortnite regularly but for those who don’t, you’re paying more money for content you’re not even using.

This case isn’t as extreme as that but it’s still upsetting many subscribers, especially those who actually wait around for these new packs to drop, only to be met with disappointment.
“Cool things that we don’t want” said Flxxed in reply to Shiina’s post, with captiinredbeard following up to say: “How is PlayStation going to do stuff like this with Fortnite but won’t re-release their characters in the item shop?”
It’s really not a good deal but free means free at the end of the day, so if you play Fortnite a lot the pack is probably still worth claiming.
