Always the last to know

Today we learnt that there’s a hidden travel function in Red Dead Redemption 2 that would have been handy to know sooner.

We’re here with yet more discoveries from Rockstar’s Wild West adventure.

Not to sound mardy, but we live for the day when we know all that there is to know about Red Dead Redemption 2.

Then we’ll know peace.

For now, though, we must live knowing we could have made our lives so much easier if we’d discovered this secret function several playthroughs earlier.

When you’re out there exploring every boulder for concealed loot or suspicious activities, make sure you take the time to groom your horse.

It's time for another dose of funny Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails

Oh, you don’t have to dismount to do this – you can remain in the saddle and brush that glorious mane.

The Redditor who shared this revelation with fans said it took them “100+ hours” of playing before figuring out they could do this.

Another helpful piece of information they discovered after “many hundreds of hours more”, is that you can choose which side of your horse you dismount from.

If you don’t laugh about this you’ll cry.

In all honesty, neither of these two functions are crucial for you to know when travelling across the map.

That said, they make life a little easier for Arthur, which is kind of the point.

We’re not alone in getting our minds blown, either; fellow Redditor Vonbacon1 was also surprised by these hidden in-game features.

There are plenty of other secrets lurking still, some of which are shrouded by darkness.

Surprising though it is to say, there’s a vampire in RDR2.

Now, if players could just figure out who this baffling mystery female NPC is, we’d all sleep much easier at night.

After all this time, we’re always learning something new.
