Red Dead Redemption 2 player uncovers hidden room we definitely weren't supposed to find

Red Dead Online may be, well, dead but here's something fun to check out

There are so many Red Dead Redemption 2 secrets to discover that I’m going to have to dedicate an entire portion of my brain to remembering them soon, ready for my next playthrough.

It’s no surprise that many claim the game’s world to be one of the best open worlds out there, even to this day. The level of detail is exquisite.

Of course, that means we’re all naturally itching for a potential Red Dead 3 to follow in its footsteps but with Rockstar beavering away on GTA VI, we have no idea whether that’s a potential reality.

In the meantime, we’ll simply have to return to the franchise’s existing instalments. It’s oh so very helpful then that Red Dead Redemption 2 constantly feels ‘new’ simply thanks to how many hidden locales, open world events, and lore drops you can stumble across.

We’ll never truly know when we, as a collective fanbase, have discovered all that there is. We could’ve done it already, but such discoveries often still remain new to at least some players.

The same can be said for Red Dead Online which also boasts several secrets - one of those being the topic of today’s article.

Take a look at some of our favourite Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below.

There’s a ‘hidden room’ in one of the so-called moonshine shacks if you go down to the basement. I say ‘hidden’, but this really counts as a cut space.

You can explore the basement of the shack and whilst several of the available doors lead to quite ordinary rooms, one leads to an enormous light-filled expanse.

Clearly, you’re not supposed to be here but the fact that you can travel through this door suggests that Rockstar did intend to once have something placed here.

You can view YouTuber pariah87 demonstrating the glitch below.

“It’s where you store your hopes and dreams of a good update,” one Reddit user joked.

“Feels like you’re knockin’ on heaven’s door,” said another.

It’s not the most exciting discovery of all time but let’s face it, it’s something to keep us occupied given that Red Dead Online is rather, well, dead these days.
