Red Dead Redemption 2 hidden areas discovered that you probably didn't realise existed

Red Dead Redemption 2 hidden areas discovered that you probably didn't realise existed

Red Dead Redemption 2 may be over five years old but for some, it still houses plenty of secrets.

Red Dead Redemption 2 may be over five years old by this point, but for some it still houses plenty of secrets.

You’ll find these weird and wonderful places in the game’s open world, which is still considered a rare example of exploration done right.

While you’re here, why not check out some hilarious Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below.

So without further ado, allow me to rattle off a few secret locations you might have not come across yet if you’re a new player, or just enjoy taking your time with the games you like, as well as what’s so special about them.

Starting off with my personal favourite, there’s a cursed house near St Dennis that features a dark secret fans of the first game will pick up on instantly.

Inside the home, you’ll see a variety of creepy things, one of which being an incomplete painting. Upon each visit the painting will slowly be completed, though who’s working on it is unknown.

By the time the picture is finished, it’ll take the shape of none other than the Strange Man, a dapper looking gentleman who many believe to be Death, God or the Devil in Rockstar’s Western world.

Moving swiftly on to Mt. Shann, if players climb all the way to the top, you’ll find a small overhang, next to which is a very large skeleton of a yeti, potentially some sort of cousin to the BigFoot creatures also found in the game’s world.

Now supernatural and folklore aside, there’s a more futuristic secret to find in Red Dead Redemption 2 provided you stumble upon the right quest.

Upon completing missions for Marko Dragic, you can return to his laboratory and discover a robot he’s created has gone for a stroll, which you can track across the landscape to where it’s decided to power down.

That’s only scratching the surface of Red Dead Redemption 2’s secrets, as there are plenty more to find if you’re willing to go looking for them. These should keep you busy for now though.
