Red Dead Redemption 2 free download available for just one more day

It’s a big day for people who enjoy saying yeehaw, and not simply because Cowboy Carter won album of the year at last night’s Grammy Awards, although that is pretty huge.

What I’m here to warn you about is the fact that you have just one more day to nab a free reward in Red Dead Online, the online component of Rockstar Games’ beloved Red Dead Redemption 2.

Admittedly, yes, Red Dead Online’s support pales in comparison to that which golden child GTA Online receives, but there’s plenty of fun still to be had in this rootin’ tootin’ online adventure.

Right now, players can partake in the Blood Money Bonuses event which rewards you for, you’ll never guess, completing Blood Money Opportunities and Contracts.

Opportunities will score you triple RDO$, gold, and XP, while Contracts will earn you double, but today is the last day to take advantage of that offer.

If you do complete a Blood Money Opportunity by the end of the day, 3 February, you’ll also nab the Tied Pants.

Those aren’t actually the free rewards I wanted to bring to your attention though.

To nab the free reward we’re here to discuss, you merely need to play Red Dead Online, so that could equate to loading up the game for less than a minute - an easier endeavour considering today is the last day of the Blood Money Bonuses event.

Load up the game today, 3 February, and you’ll secure the blue Manteca Hat and a Reward for 25 Capitale.

If you’ve already been keeping up to date with the game, those who have completed all Collector Daily Challenges two days in a row will also nab the great Macbay Jacket, although that’s not exactly something you can secure in retrospect.

While you are in-game, you may as well claim the latest community-inspired outfit designed by YouTuber Brute*VS which includes the Gambler’s Hat, Sheep’s Wool Jacket, Collar Overshirt, Wide Collar Shirtwaist, Workman’s Gloves, Padded Saddle Work Pants, Alvarado Chaps, and Tornado Boots.

All in all, there are plenty of wonderful cosmetics to grab which, yes, aren’t game-changing but you should never look a gift horse in the mouth.
