I hope you’re ready for a very busy festive break. For those subscribed to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, a lot of titles will be disappearing from the game library in January, so you’ve not got long to play them until they’re gone for good (unless you actually buy them, of course).
Unlike with Essential tier freebies, which can be played whenever you want as long as you claim them in the eligible time period (and assuming you still have your PS Plus membership active), the games available in the more expensive Extra and Premium tiers can only be played for free while they’re still on the service. That means that even if you have them downloaded, you won’t be able to play them without buying them outright when they disappear.
This month’s Extra tier offerings include Yakuza: Like a Dragon - take a look at the trailer below.
As Twisted Voxel reports, 11 games are set to leave the service by 17 January 2023, all of which are from the Extra tier. These are: Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek, Masters of Anima, Leo’s Fortune, JumpJet Rex, Seasons After Fall, Shiness - The Lightning Kingdom, Electronic Super Joy, The Council, Space Hulk Tactics, The Last Tinker: City of Colors, and Bound by Flame.

If case you needed more free games in your life to make up for this, fear not. In case you didn’t know, the Epic Games Store has once again been giving out a bunch of freebies this month - since last week, they’ve been giving away one new free game every single day. In fact, if you act fast, you can grab Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel on PC for the low low price of nothing - all you need is an Epic Games Store account. The offer ends at 4PM UK time when the next free game will become available, so you’ll have to be quick if you want to claim these.
