A surgeon has found himself in a world of trouble after sharing a video of himself in the middle of a surgical procedure during a heated "console wars" argument on Twitter.
I'm certain that most readers are familiar with the term "console wars" by now. Despite it being the year 2022, there are still some folk out there who feel like arguing about whether Xbox or PlayStation is better is a good use of time. The fact some of these people are apparently doctors is nothing short of terrifying.
Xbox or PlayStation? Who cares! Take a look at how great a PS exclusive like God Of War can look running on a PC.
While arguing with Xbox fans over which console is superior online, a Twitter user who goes by the name Dr. Shreeveera was challenged on whether he was even a real doctor. To prove he was who he claimed to be, Shreeveera shared a brief video of himself in surgical scrubs, inside what looked to be an operating room with a patient on the table in the background.

"Here I am after inducing anesthesia, intubating & putting a patient on controlled mechanical ventilation for a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy case in OR," he wrote alongside the video (thanks, Dexerto). "Slandering my identity, profession coz you Xbots can’t Argue FACTS!”
The video has since been deleted, but Shreeveera has been widely criticised for his actions. Not only did the clip contain sensitive patient information, the surgeon also appeared to hold up the procedure he was involved with so he could... stop to "own" a couple of Xbox fans? Yikes.
Shreeveera has also since changed his Twitter bio to remove any mention of being a doctor, but the damage is done. The internet has tracked down the hospital where the surgeon claims to have worked, and it's currently being review bombed. Because that's how people deal with things now I guess.
Shreeveera has since uploaded an apology to YouTube in which he says his actions were “childish and foolish”. He also says he genuinely enjoys fighting about consoles online, however, and believes the reaction to his video has gotten out of hand.

“We should never cross the line where someone’s hobby transcends into someone’s personal life. Trying to dox people, trying to target people and make their lives miserable,” he said.
