Xbox’s upcoming next-gen console has allegedly had its pricing leaked, and as expected it’ll cost an arm and a leg.
I’m sure this won’t be a shock to Xbox users. The latest price-hike for Xbox Game Pass has led to fans accusing the company of corporate greed especially when it tried to justify the increase in price with features and additions that no one asked for or wanted.
Collectively gamers are questioning what the point of owning an Xbox is when more and more of its first-party line-up get ported to PlayStation and Nintendo platforms, in addition to price-hikes and general mismanagement of the brand.
The latest news isn’t helping things either as some more leaks from Zuby_Tech regarding the company’s next home console have surfaced.

These leaks are composed of the console’s alleged specifications, including its CPU and GPU, as well as a 2027 launch. This would put it in the same year as the PlayStation 6 if those leaks are to be believed.
Another interesting bit of information though is the price. According to Zuby the next Xbox console will reportedly be more expensive than the PlayStation 6.
At the time of writing it’s believed a base PlayStation 6 will likely cost around the same as the PlayStation 5 Pro, but in stark contrast it’s said the next Xbox console could cost over $800.
It sounds pretty absurd and would place the next console more in-line with PCs, which would make sense considering the “Anything Is An Xbox” campaign the company has been running.

As you can imagine gamers had a lot to say about the supposed details. One commenter predicts the “PS6 will be cheaper” and have better overall performance, adding “Xbox always go for raw power same as this generation.”
“This is definitely the mini PC we all thought it would be” read another comment. “They're escaping the traditional console space. And this is going to be minimum $900 or higher with those specs lol. Also hearing that this is reportedly the last ever device from Xbox. Great finale.”
It’s been said for a while now that Xbox wants to leave consoles behind in favour of partnerships with other studios and companies.
If that’s true a console like this might be the way to do it, as it seems unlikely it’ll sell well given that alleged price.
