Steam's new free game is perfect if you're after a challenge

Challenging or rage inducing – you decide!

If challenging escapades are your thing, Steam’s new free game will be the perfect addition to your games library. Though be warned, it could also lead to some rage-quitting before your experience is over.

Steam is a treasure trove of video games, helping to sate even the most thirsty of gamers – though it can’t prevent them from revealing their hentai love to their boss. Basically, it's a platform with just about any type of genre available, able to cater to even the most tricky of customers.

Now for something a bit different – The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep announcement trailer!

Personally, I’m not a fan of challenging games, I don’t want it to be too easy, but I don’t want to have to scream in a pillow to calm my nerves either. From what I’ve seen of Steam’s Forced Sacrifice: Hejled, it’s definitely a game where I’d embody Markiplier throwing his gaming chair across the room. “This game needs checkpoints. A lot of checkpoints,” said one player, which speaks of a deep level of pain having lost the game several times over.

So far, the reviews have been quite positive, although it’s still early days with only 23 reviewers thus far. Players describe Forced Sacrifice: Hejled as a “fun game”, though one player did quip as to whether the experience was what it was like to “be on acid”, therefore suggesting a mindbending ride.

It’s bright, it’s in your face, it’s unforgiving, and it’s free to play. Of course, if you want all the DLC, which includes its soundtrack, you’ll need to pay a small fee for this fast-paced PC title. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, there are plenty of other options to choose from, like beloved, classic games that score nine out of 10 from Steam reviewers.

There’s really no losing here – this is what we call a win-win. You can play Forced Sacrifice: Hejled for free on Steam right now and for the foreseeable future, however, be warned that devs can quickly add a price if they choose.
