Steam gamers have less than 24 hours to claim free store credit

If you snooze you lose!

Gamers, it’s time to fight for your chance to score some free Steam credit.

There’s no guarantee you’ll win the prize, but to not even try isn’t an option – especially with such a tight deadline looming.

The rules of this giveaway are simple but specific.

As seen on Free Steam Games’ Twitter account, users looking to enter must wishlist the game Stray Path, and show proof of that via a screenshot.

Thereafter, you merely need to like and retweet the competition post to be in with a chance to win.

Your prize is $5 Steam store credit, which doesn’t sound like much, but there’s plenty of exceptional titles that such an amount can go towards.

Stray Path is an adventure and strategy game combining FreeCell and roguelike card,” the description begins.

“There are different characters and venturing in a randomly generated world. Dragging cards like FreeCell, optimising choices, selecting equipment & items, discovering the truth of a stray world!”

For those who’ve played Wild Frost, this upcoming 2024 title bears some striking similarities.

If you’re interested in playing this game rather than simply using it as a means to the potential end of getting free moolah, there’s a free demo you can download.

From what we can see, the Stray Path demo will only work on PC rather than Mac; a painful tune we know off by heart now.

Regarding the competition outlines above, it’s only running until 8 May. Yes, you read that right: 8 May. Tomorrow. This means you have less than 24 hours to enter the giveaway.

The choice is yours, obviously, but with such basic rules, what’s to lose by entering even if you’re not interested in the game it’s advertising...?

Stray Path is due to launch later this year, though its Steam page doesn’t give a specific date.
