Steam gamers given 24 hours to nab free store credit

Never turn down a helping hand

We’re all familiar with just how expensive gaming can be as a hobby.

It’s nigh impossible to keep up with all of the latest releases, especially in a month like this.

October has brought us Until Dawn, Silent Hill 2, Dragon Ball: Sparkling Zero, Metaphor ReFantazio, and Super Mario Party Jamboree, with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Sonic x Shadow Generations, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, and Dragon Age: The Veilguard all on the way.

Anyone’s wallet would groan over the thought of keeping up with that line-up.

As such we have to pick and choose, but stumbling across free credit might be the difference that helps us nab an extra title.

Well, Steam users can currently enter to win $5 in Steam credit right now, although you only have today to enter as the winner will be announced tomorrow on 19 October.

This giveaway sees the ever reliable SteamGamesPC team-up with upcoming indie game Stray Path.

Take a look at the trailer for Life is Strange: Double Exposure ahead of its launch.

To enter the giveaway, simply like and retweet this linked tweet by Stray Path.

Then, like and retweet the giveaway post itself.

It’s that simple.

Stray Path is currently partaking in Steam Next Fest so if you want to check it out ahead of its 2025 launch, you can via a free demo that’s available to download now.

Developed by chx games and set to be published by Yogscast Games, Stray Path is a pixel-graphics roguelite.

“Stray Path is an innovative adventure and strategy game that blends FreeCell mechanics with roguelike gameplay,” reads the synopsis.

“Choose from colourful characters and explore a randomly generated world. Drag cards, optimise your choices, select equipment, and uncover the mysteries of this mysterious stray world!”

May the odds be in your favour, my bargain hunting friends.
