If you love horror games, in particular those that are P.T. inspired, then you might want to download this game from Steam for free.

When P.T. was announced by Konami during Gamescom 2014, it sent a wave of excitement across the video game community that I’ve not experienced since. What was later revealed as a “Playable Teaser” for Silent Hills from Hideo Kojima starring Normal Reedus, the buzz for the full game was through the roof.

Check out the 7Years teaser trailer below!

However, following a messy spat between Konami and Hideo Kojima, which resulted in the Metal Gear Solid creator parting ways with the company for good after nearly 30 years, the publisher removed P.T. in 2015 from the PlayStation Store and cancelled Silent Hills.

To this day, P.T. continues to maintain a cult-like following with fans still not ready to forgive Konami for its abrupt actions. However, it seems that some bridges are being mended, following the release of the critically acclaimed Silent Hill 2 remake by Bloober Team.

Keen to capitalise on the void left by Silent Hills, this sparked waves of indie developers to create P.T.-inspired horror games which are still showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Some of the best P.T.-inspired games worth checking out (in my opinion) are Visage, MADiSON and Devotion to name a few. One other game that might be worth your attention is 7Years.

Developed and published by indie studio wDessy, 7Years looks like it could be a fun game and with that being said, you can download and play its free demo now via Steam.

“7Years is a non-linear, open-world horror game, offering both single-player and online co-op,” reads the description of the game. “Find clues, solve puzzles, uncover mysteries and elude unique demonic enemies, each created to trigger a specific fear in the player.”

Judging by its first teaser trailer, 7Years is not only inspired by P.T. but perhaps even multiplayer indie sensation, Phasmophobia, which has recently benefited from its long-waited console release.

There is currently no release date for 7Years at the time of writing but you can wishlist it on Steam to be notified of its launch.
