A brand new free game that’s just hit Steam is one for horror gamers, mixing Resident Evil and Silent Hill.
If you’re a fan of either Resident Evil or Silent Hill (or both, we won’t judge), the chances are you might regularly be looking out for new games to play that are quite similar to these two franchises.
As two of the most influential horror game series of all time, there are bound to be plenty of games cropping up which take inspiration from them.
That’s certainly the vibe I’m getting from Ravenmoore Psychiatric Hospital, a new horror game that’s completely free to play and has just hit Steam.

Judging from the visuals, it looks like Ravenmoore Psychiatric Hospital is rather dark, and I don’t just mean in terms of themes and subject matter.
I mean, it looks like the game features a lot of dark environments which are difficult to navigate.
“Enter an oppressive and terrifying environment where you play as a young man who infiltrates the old and abandoned Ravenmoore Psychiatric Hospital in search of the harsh reality hidden behind this place, but what you least expected was to end up discovering something much worse than you could ever have imagined,” reads the description for Ravenmoore Psychiatric Hospital on Steam.

“Kaelix Drum, a boy obsessed with exploring abandoned places, is led by his curiosity to Ravenmoore, the abandoned psychiatric hospital in his town, where he finds what he least wanted to find… Monsters and creatures.
“This place ceased to be what it once was a long time ago, due to inexplicable events that still offer no clue as to what happened.
"But what is certain is that there are extremely dangerous creatures here. Be careful when exploring this place and don't let HER fool you. What could happen to you is much worse than you can imagine…”
Ravenmoore Psychiatric Hospital is the debut indie title by GameBit Interactive, and the developer intends to add new updates to the game and improve it slowly over time.
