After originally launching in 2016, free-to-play multiplayer title PICO PARK: Classic Edition is officially set to be delisted in just a matter of days.
Developed by TECOPARK, PICO PARK: Classic Edition is a co-operative action puzzle game that can be enjoyed locally or online with between two and 10 players.
The premise is rather simple. Players have to work together to get from point A to point B, collecting keys as they go.
However, each of the game’s 22 levels have their own unique gimmicks with PICO PARK: Classic Edition always keeping you on your toes.

Getting the key to the door at the end of each level isn’t enough. All players must be able to travel through the door, so you can’t leave your mate stranded somewhere.
The title boasts a ‘Mostly Positive’ score of 78% on PC storefront Steam, correct at the time of writing.

“The puzzles are simple, but trying to coordinate everyone without somebody messing up at the worst possible moment is what makes the game hilarious,” remarked one player
“Tried this with friends and it instantly turned into pure chaos. The levels are easy to understand, but actually working together without someone messing everything up is way harder than it sounds,” added another.
PICO PARK: Classic Edition is set to be removed from sale on Sunday 14 June at 7pm PST.
“Those who already own the title will be able to continue playing the full game—including online features—without interruption,” devs note.
“We have done our utmost to ensure that this decision causes as little inconvenience as possible; however, we sincerely apologise to anyone who views the act of making the title private as a detriment in itself.”
It’s not all bad news as PICO PARK lives on thanks to an updated version of the game which launched back in 2021.
Unfortunately, PICO PARK isn’t free like the Classic Edition, but it will only cost you a couple of dollars or pounds.
It commands a top price of £3.99 but is regularly on offer.
This updated version of the game features 48 levels instead of the Classic Edition’s 22, plus some extra new modes.
After you’ve completed PICO PARK, the fun doesn’t end as you’ll then unlock Battle Mode which allows you to compete against your friends as opposed to work alongside them.
There’s also Endless Mode too, which adds a score to your efforts with the goal being that you’re motivated to constantly improve upon it.
“You can play together online with people who are far away from you,” devs note.
“However, this is a game where communication is very important, so we recommend using Discord or Zoom to play while talking.”
If you tuned into the recent Summer Game Fest, you may also have caught the announcement of SONIC PICO PARK starring Sonic The Hedgehog, although that variant remains without a release date.
It’s a shame to see that it’s the end of the road for the humble original PICO PARK: Classic Edition, but gamers have plenty of time to claim this free hit.
Once you’ve done so, it’s yours to cherish and enjoy long after it's removed from sale.
