Steam free download is a must-play for Resident Evil fans

Don't sleep on it if you're a Resi fan

Resident Evil fans should try a new free demo on Steam for an upcoming horror title, it’s right up their street.

There’s no doubting that the Resident Evil series has dominated the horror space for many years now, especially recently with back-to-back bangers like Resident Evil: Village and Resident Evil 4 (2023).

The end of Resident Evil 4 even teased a remake of the fifth game too.

While it’ll likely continue to dominate the survival-horror genre in the years to come, that doesn’t mean other titles can’t have a crack at it.

There’s a few good ones on Steam, my personal recommendation being Crow Country, a game that really captures that early PlayStation 1 horror vibe.

The one we’re talking about today though is a game that’s yet to release called Cult Of Blood.

Its official Steam page description reads: "Cult of Blood is a survival horror adventure game that plunges players into a chilling, immersive experience. Set in a remote village deep within an ominous forest, the game draws inspiration from a true story, weaving a rich and terrifying narrative.”

As you can probably gather it’s very Resident Evil-like, and worth a go if you’re a fan of those games or just horror titles in general.

Players can try a free demo of the game right now, and while I can’t comment on how long the demo is, it should give you a good idea of what the full experience could be like.

As for actual release dates, I’m afraid Cult Of Blood is yet to receive one, as its Steam page just says it’s “coming soon,” though if you add it to your wishlist you should get updated when that changes.

If this game isn’t your cup of tea, then you can always try some others. There’s even a Steam game reminiscent of Dino Crisis if that’s more your style.
