Grand Theft Auto VI’s launch looms as we get closer and closer to 19 November, hopefully, Rockstar Games doesn’t have any more nasty delays planned.
As usual, Rockstar hasn’t said a word about its next open-world game but with marketing due to start soon, many are anticipating a third trailer, either by the end of the month or sometime in May.
While you wait for the game’s release, a new game from one of Rockstar Games’ former devs is about to drop on Steam and it’s free-to-play right now.
Oren Koren is one of the developers who worked on GTA VI during their tenure at Rockstar, before eventually leaving the company before the game’s completion.
Despite sticking with game development when Koren left Rockstar, they didn’t try to create the next Grand Theft Auto, but if you’re interested in what that might look like, we’d suggest checking out Samson - especially as a console port is now confirmed.

No, Oren Koren made a game that has a simple premise but one almost every gamer can enjoy, and can probably relate to as well.
Don’t Lose Aggro is that game and it’s essentially about playing a tank/support role in a real-time strategy title.
The tank archetype has been a thing in games for years and is all about absorbing and redistributing incoming damage. You see it RTS games like Diablo but also a lot of multiplayer games like Overwatch. Reinhardt mains stand up.
For Don’t Lose Aggro, Koren was reportedly inspired by his time playing World of Warcraft, where he continuously took the aggro of enemies to keep them away from his team.
The game’s Steam description instructs players to: “Protect your team by forcing enemies to attack you in this single-player action roguelite inspired by MMO raids. Create unique builds, unlock powerful talents and master the art of tanking to command the chaos!”

At the time of writing, the game is still in early-access but that doesn’t mean its skimping on quality.
In fact, it’s already accumulated 82 reviews since its 15 April release date securing it a very Positive rating on Valve’s digital storefront Steam.
The full game is very affordable, just over the price of a coffee depending on where you live, but if you’d still rather try before you buy, there’s a free demo available to play instead.
Given that it’s an early-access title, you can expect plenty of tweaks and updates as the game evolves, but if you’re a fan of roguelites or MMOs, there’s no reason to not give it a go now.
While ex-Rockstar Games devs are quick to release their games on PC, Rockstar unfortunately isn’t and still hasn’t issued a statement on the PC port of GTA VI.
Other devs who worked on GTA VI and left the company shortly after reckon they know when the PC port is scheduled to release, and it’s not the worst news you’ll hear today.
