Sometimes, saying goodbye is the hardest thing we’ll ever do and that appears to be the case for this popular Elder Scrolls entry.

It doesn't matter which entry it is in the popular fantasy RPG series from Bethesda, The Elder Scrolls always goes down a treat with its loyal fan base, as proven by 2011’s Skyrim which is still going strong to this day.

While games like Skyrim, Oblivion and The Elder Scrolls Online will seemingly live forever, that is not always the case for some, especially when it comes to mobile games, such as The Elder Scrolls: Legends.

Originally released in 2017, The Elder Scrolls: Legends, is a card-battling game for fans of Hearthstone and Magic: The Gathering. At launch, this mobile game was largely well-received with a respectable Metacritic score of 80, though the same could not be said from its user reviews.

“The Elder Scrolls: Legends is an award-winning free-to-play strategy card game based on the world and lore of the Elder Scrolls series. Play for hours or minutes across many game modes that are easy to learn but challenging to master,” reads its synopsis.

The Elder Scrolls: Legends which is currently playable via Steam is soon being delisted from the PC platform, and will no longer be available from 30 January 2024.

“What a shame, Legends filled in a lot of cool lore bits from the mainline games. I wish Bethesda at least makes it available in single-player mode for people to access,” said LaughingMan-0D.

“The game has decent single-player content. Like Gwent, I hope Bethesda release a single-player offline game,” replied thelastcamel.

“Shame, this game started so well and was a genuine Hearthstone competitor. Amazing art, and in-game mechanics, making it unique, fun-to-play, and fast-paced,” Hexdro exclaimed.

At this time, The Elder Scrolls: Legends is available to download on iOS and Android, but it’s only compatible with older devices, so the writing may be on the wall for the mobile version too.

Hopefully, Bethesda will decide to re-release the game on newer mobile devices because it would be a shame to see The Elder Scrolls: Legends disappear forever.
