Dino Crisis be damned, we just got the next best thing

Dinosaur lovers shouldn't sleep on this upcoming title

Hailed as one of the classics, Dino Crisis still has quite a dedicated fanbase who are desperate to see a remake.

However, with Capcom pretending they can’t hear them, it may be a while until we see an official reboot of the franchise which first kicked off back in 1999.

Check out the trailer for Dino Crisis 2 below!

Followed by sequels in 2000, 2002 and 2003, the survival horror focused on the outbreaks of deadly dinosaurs making it reminiscent of the blockbuster Jurassic Park movies.

Although there have been quite a few rumours of a potential Dino Crisis 4, there have not been any official updates from Capcom since 2017 when its official Twitter account said there would only be a fourth entry “if a lot of people wish”.

However, until the fourth entry may or may not arrive, it is time for some indie creators to try their hands at a dinosaur-filled survival horror and that is definitely the case for LogDev who has created Paleophage.

Paleophage is an upcoming title described as “Resident Evil with dinosaurs” by its one-man dev team.

Players will find themselves exploring a sprawling urban city centre under siege by long-extinct creatures. With dinosaurs, insects and other prehistoric monsters lurking around every corner, players will need to use the six available weapons to take them down and survive the terrifying onslaughts.

With the choice of two playable characters, the only way to survive is by solving puzzles, fighting or even running for your life as you try to put an end to the Paleophage, an unstable biological force that threatens to upend Earth and put humans at the bottom of the food chain.

If you are a fan of Dino Crisis, dinosaurs or just survival horror titles in general, then this is not one to miss out on when it is released later this year.
