Baldur's Gate 3 fans need to check out this free Steam RPG

A beloved RPG classic of yesteryear that is one for Baldur’s Gate 3 fans is making a comeback and you can play it for free right now.

The 1990s was truly a blessed time for fans of the RPG genre with titles such as the original Baldur’s Gate, Final Fantasy VII, Fallout 2, and Super Mario RPG to name a few. However, it could be argued that the RPG genre is having its best popularity boom with this current console generation thanks to the likes of Baldur’s Gate 3 and the upcoming Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth.

Another classic RPG from the 1990s is Geneforge 2 and if you’re a fan of this title then you’re in luck because it's making a comeback with a modern remaster, and of course, this remaster will be an opportunity for new fans to see what all the fuss is about.

“Geneforge 2 is an indie fantasy role-playing adventure with a science fiction twist. Explore a huge world, choose which side you will fight for, and make your own horde of completely obedient mutant monsters. Geneforge 2 has a huge and open storyline,” reads the synopsis of the game. “You can join with any of several factions and reach dozens of different endings.”

Developed and published by Spiderweb Software, the first game in the Geneforge series arrived in 2001 before its well-received sequel which garnered a score of 74 on Metacritic was released on PC two years later. Now, over 20 years have passed and Geneforge 2 is making a comeback.
