A new turn-based RPG has all the makings of a Cyberpunk 2077 or Baldur’s Gate 3 spiritual crossover.
Cyber Knights: Flashpoint is a game combining the turn-based elements of Baldur’s Gate 3 with the expansive futuristic metropolis vibes of Cyberpunk 2077.
Developed by Trese Brothers, you play as a team of mercenaries who try to pull off various heists using their high-powered tech and individual skills.

Another great comparison might be to the XCOM series, in which turn-based tactical movement and specialised abilities take the forefront of the game’s scenarios.
You build up your crew and ensure each one is thoroughly equipped for the mission ahead, whatever that may be.

As a big fan of tactical games like XCOM, I’ll certainly be checking this out at some point. It looks like a terrific blend of throwing that formula into a cyberpunk-style universe.
“A modern tactical RPG with some of our favorite elements: gridless movement, environmental cover, specialized overwatch, initiative manipulation and more,” reads Cyber Knights: Flashpoint’s official description.
“Independent enemy unit AI opens up a world of creative stealth options; pick them off one by one, stage diversions, or use advanced tech to sneak right by them.
“Combat is challenging and in-depth. Powerful abilities, tricked out weapons, and smart coordination can give you an edge, but once you go loud expect things to escalate. Move fast and avoid getting pinned down to accomplish your objectives and get out alive.”

Cyber Knights: Flashpoint is out now after spending a period of time in Steam Early Access. It’s also verified for Steam Deck, if you’d like to play it on the go.
The developer is pretty active, and responds to feedback all the time. I mean, it’s been out for two weeks and has already had nine updates, while in early access it had over 250 total patches delivered several times a week.
