If you’re looking for epic adventures on land or sea, then you can’t go wrong with the likes of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Valheim.

Granted, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag is an open-world adventure that explores the seven seas and Valheim is an open-world survival RPG, but each offers fun adventures nonetheless in its own right. However, if we could blend the best elements of both, that can only be a good thing, right?

Check out the Robinson Crusoe demo trailer below!

One such game that looks to offer that potential blend is the indie action RPG developed and published by Infilope Games, none other than Robinson Crusoe. Best of all, you can check out the game for yourself right now thanks to its free playable demo on Steam.

“As Robinson Crusoe, a 17th-century castaway, you must survive on a tropical island in this action-adventure game,” reads the synopsis of the action RPG. “Explore a dynamic world, uncover secrets, craft tools, build shelters, and defend against dangers. Your choices shape your fate - will you conquer the wilds or fall victim to them?”

Not only will Robinson Crusoe feature exploring across the seas, but taking inspiration from survival games, you will be required to hunt for food and build a base if you have any chance of surviving its harsh world.

Judging by its demo trailer, while a bit rough around the edges, it does look like Robinson Crusoe could be a fun game to play. That being said, hopefully, by the time the full game is released, any potential issues will be ironed out.

Robinson Crusoe does not have a solid release date at the time of writing but according to its Steam page, it is scheduled to be released sometime during April and June in 2025.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated when that time comes and in the meantime, you can consider adding it to your Steam wishlist.
